Doris Speaks!
She's back this month, and sounding amazing, so warm, so natural. Glad she's back! At the end she say's somethings coming? guess what it is and leaves us with that? What could it be? Can't wait, and she promises more chats! I also want to thank Bryan and all the other fellow fans of Doris. It's great to come to a place like Bryans and Stephens to find others who love Doris as much as I do! You are all a great bunch of people!

Re: Doris Speaks!
I think when she said "Something's Coming," she jokingly meant the ever-popular "toodle-ooo" closing of hers. At least that was my take on the comment.
Like Irene Dunne done.
Re: Doris Speaks!
It is good to hear from her; she sounds so happy! Her birthday seems so long ago. It is so great to hear from her through out the year and not only in April. Thanks Doris!
Re: Doris Speaks!
That's my take too Howard.
Yes, doesn't Doris sound wonderful? Nowhere near her age and so vibrant and in the moment!
I just adore this lady - one class act!

Re: Doris Speaks!
Man, she sounds SO happy! She's laughing all the time and I'm laughing with her! I'm so happy that she's happy! I thought that I can't love her more and bang... she sends this message. I think it's my favorite!
" You can take a deep breath and say: 'Thank the Lord...' don't you dare!"
And no DoDo, you are NEVER going to bother me!

Re: Doris Speaks!
Oh my goodness.....Doris' latest message is just delightful! She sounds wonderful, doesn't she???
I think this is the longest message she has recorded thus far....and it was so lovely!!!
It's so funny when she says she is going to "stop bothering us". Well, Doris--I could listen to you read the phone book and never grow tired of it!!! LOL
I know Doris is missing her loved ones who have passed on....and the holiday season is especially hard. I do hope and pray that Doris will be surrounded by her dear friends during this holidays season.
God Bless You, Dear Doris!!
Hope you're all having a lovely "Day"!!

Boy, do I know how she feels. Christmas without Mom and Dad or any family; I just feel knumb. Memories and faith as Doris said, that we will see them again, carry me through.
Wishing you a Blessed Christmas Doris with good friends and good food.

So it must be difficult to spend Christmas without coming, without family. I wish Doris calm, warm Christmas, among the closest friends.I wish her health, love and much joy.Calico wrote:Boy, do I know how she feels. Re: Doris Speaks!
She does sound great doesn't she? Although bitter-sweet (talking about Christmas with no family) - Doris has come on so much that she can now publicly talk about Terry and hold it together. So glad she appears to have wonderful friends around her.

Re: Doris Speaks!
I just listened to Doris's message on the DorisDay.com website! She sounds wonderful, funny and caring.
It is so nice to hear something recent from her! I like how she calls the pets, the "babies."
I hope she will continue to leave her fans messages there! It just made my day.

Re: Doris Speaks!
Her latest e-mail is also sweet; announcing the US release of her CD. She is just amazing; she keeps the whole world smiling. Love You Doris

Re: Doris Speaks!
Yes, she does sound great....but Doris does have family. She has a very wonderful, handsome and intelligent grandson, Ryan Melcher....how can everyone forget him, especially the fans. You all remember him from her Doris Day - Best Friends, series. I love Doris, however, I am disappointed in her statement that she has "no" family. This has bothered me since I heard it.Jas1 wrote:She does sound great doesn't she? Re: Doris Speaks!
We don't know the cirucmstances, so I suppose we may be disappointed or even saddened, but its perhaps not for us to say. Divorces can be very ugly and cause alot of pain. Besides there are so many variables, and unless anyone knows Doris and Ryan personally or live in their shoes today, I suppose we can't really comment on their relationship or lack thereof?Dianne wrote:Yes, she does sound great....but Doris does have family. When Doris cries, I cry, when she laughs I laugh! Indeed a somber message and I'll do what I can to save the horses! She is such a caring woman!

Re: Doris Speaks!
Doesn't she sound wonderful? Much younger than her years. Makes me happy to hear her sounding so good. About the horses: her emotional plea was certainly heartfelt .. when I hear her talk about such things, I know that she has done what she was destined to do. I've sent messages to my Congressional reps, and I hope all you guys are doing the same ... for the horses ... for Doris!
Like Irene Dunne done.
