Got my 30 day trial and am ready, willing and able to enjoy the celebration of Do Do with Nancy about Frankie boy. Two solid singing legends of all time! Perk up and cherish this special event. There should be a lot of chatting about this!!!! Stay with the happy people!!

I can live with not being able to listen to it. I'm just glad that Doris was up for it and - once again - it dispels the false stories that the Globe prints about her being depressed, near death, etc.

A bit off topic, but while we're speaking of Nancy (with the laughing face), I just watched her 1967 special "Moving With Nancy" on You Tube to get into the spirit of the upcoming interview. OK, some of it comes across as dated and silly today, but this was a zippy little special that serves as a time capsule for the late 60's era of pop music and a reminder of her brief popularity on the Top 40 charts.

Interestingly, Nancy sang a smooth cover of "Wait Til You See Him" to introduce her father on the show. As you may recall, Doris also covered that song beautifully on her "Duet" album with Andre Previn. Would be interesting if this coincidence is mentioned during the interview. I'm also hoping they play both Doris and Frank's versions of "My Love" from "Young At Heart."

Nancy did a brief short about her Father for TCM. Too bad she didn't mention Doris. Would have been a good plug for the radio show. But then we have Doris all over the supermarket lately. People must want to know about her. Before five years ago it was rare to hear anything.

In 2004 Doris called a radio show when Ronald Reagan died and she was ushered off the call so quickly. How rude. But not so today! Mickey Rooney was on the same program briefly.

As Doris did in the late 1950s- Frank recorded an album of Oscar winning songs in the early 60s and did Secret Love - wonder if they will play that? And maybe Doris' version of Three Coins in a Fountain - from her Oscar songs album(s) - or compare the different renditions?

It's not at all surprising that Nancy had difficulty choosing which songs to feature on the broadcast. Just listen to this amazing version of Stardust by our Doris. For many years, I felt that no one could touch the original by Hoagy Carmichael or the most popular rendition by the great Nat King Cole. But listen to the rich tones and effortless phrasing Doris brings to this classic song. She makes it her own.

When I checked this out, the 30-trial requires a credit card. There is now, however, a 7-day trial period that does not require the credit card.

They told me they had no such thing. It was a 7 day free trial or a 1 year subscription.

Folks~
I just signed up for a 30-day trial period. However, I am very sorry to say that I had to jump through hoops to get it to work. The system did not recognize my user name nor password after having signed up. I won't even go through the struggle with Sirius people who could have cared less whether or not I would enjoy the trial period or not even after a live-chat and a phone call.

However, I kept at it - because of the interview - and it finally worked. Had it not been for the Doris interview, I would have given up. Very bad points for Sirius and who knows if things will kick through on the 23rd.

I would suggest that you all at least give a sign up a try. I doubt that Doris will give this kind of an interview again in the future, so it's worth the hassle.

I have XM in my car but not on my computer. After hearing the length of this interview, there was no way I was going to camp out in my car for six hours total! I signed up for the online portion and had no problem with it recognizing me the next few times I signed in. Strange you had such trouble!

I found out that the reason I was having problems was that Sirius was having problems at the very time I signed up. It was mentioned in a recording when I called for assistance. I don't find it at all strange that someone would have problems signing up for anything on the internet. All is okay as I have tested it out several times.

I look forward to listening to the interview and to recording it for my collection.
