I adore Please Don't Eat..... - I rated it good though.
Love the scene where the dog eats Doris' ear ring and she looks fab having lunch with David Niven.

I love David Niven, and he did give a good performance. Not as much chemistry between Doris and David as I would have liked. I enjoyed the two songs. Every time I see it, I think I appreciate it more. had a hard time believing that the 3 children belonged to Doris and the soft spoken Niven.

The clothes in this one are great too - the slacks particulary enhance Miss Day's derriere!

One of the most likeable comedies she did. You just can't help but love the screwball characters and marvel at how smooth Doris is thoughout the entire picture. I also get a big kick out of Janis Paige ("It says here you're 29. I have been....") who is a riot. Doris gets it right in every scene especially when she's trading wisecracks with her sons or trying to reason with David Niven. I love this movie.

Im watching this film now.. and I am really enjoying it, and seeing doris as mum and wife is really sweet!!
How cute is the little boy in the cage!! haha, I thought I was seeing things at first!
Doris looks fab as always!!! I love her hair like this, and the clothes are lovely too! I think she looks a little older in this but just as stunning!
How many films does she sing Que sera sera? I heard a line in this in the restaurant, and isnt it also in the Glass bottom boat and the man who knew too much?

Helen, she sings it in those 3 films, plus a couple episodes of "The Doris Day Show" (not counting that the song was used over the opening credits of the series...)

I loved this movie,I gave it an exellent rating ,as far as im concerned this movie worked all the way around.David looked as though he had a huge crush on doris(just look at the look on his face as doris sings que sera sera).
Did anyone notice the part where the baby is always dropping water out the windows ? (just like terry did for real)Doris must have had that part wrtten in lol.It worked very well.Doris looked lovely as always, and plays the perfect mother of rascaly boys,(had practice at home lol)

I think that this movie was good I like the bit when Doris sings with the children that was good and she actually learnt how to play the little guitar.
I think David Niven was good too. I do like him in his movies.

Speaking of ---- here she is learning to play the ukelele for the movie.
I love this movie. I think she is so great with the kids. So true to life. A housefull of boys would drive you crazy ! I love the scene when she's getting ready at the beginning of the movie. How real it was ! She's stated that she's not one to gush over children BUT she sure does a great job working with them. And they love her. Have you ever noticed the baby in this movie ? He keeps his eyes on her - during the song with the kids at school he's watching her - during the fight with Niven while she's holding the baby - he acts like she's his Mom. And he's a baby - you couldn't tell him to do that. She had a great connection with all the kids she acted with.
I always enjoy this movie. Its great !!

I also read that the dog loved her so much that he got to the point that he wouldn't do his scenes unless Doris was standing off camera so he could see her !! I can believe this knowing her love of dogs.
This is a cute picture of them together off camera.

Hi -- I actually get most of them off of ebay. People are selling them and I just save them to my computer. Of course I've been doing this for about 5 years so I've come across some pretty neat pictures.
Its fun, and I love the pictures.

It's fine here, dayniac - nice to have lots of pics unrelated sometimes.
I like this pic from the Midnight Lace page:

Doris with Martin Melcher, and the film's producer Ross Hunter during filming.

Yes - I really like that picture from ML - I like the off camera pictures of Doris - they can be fun. I have a lot of candids - which I love.
Here's a fun publicity photo in a daisy hat. I think its for the 45 that was released - I'll post a picture of that too.
Thanks !
Toni
This is off the subject -but- did anyone hear that Erick Estrada just got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ?? Is it just me - or - are they sinking pretty low on that one ? Does he deserve to be included with the likes of Doris and so many other greats ? I don't think so !
